OREH, Hon.

Constituency, Imo State, in the House of Representatives. He is a member of the Na tional Party of Nigeria. He was born on August 8, 1938 at Ozu Abam, Imo State. He is one of the five children of Mrs. Nwaulari Oreh. His father, Mr. Onwuka Oreh was a farmer and had twenty-one children. He attended the Presbyterian Primary School, Ozu Abam, and then proceeded to the Enuda College, Abiriba for his post primary education. He later studied at the University of Listopada, Teplice, Academy of Arts, Prague, as well as in the University of Prague. He ob tained his doctorate degree in 1971 in Prague, Czechoslovakia, majoring in Mass Communica tion, Education and Philosophy. Before studying abroad, Hon. Oreh worked as a film librarian with the Eastern Nigerian Television Service in 1964. He was appointed lecturer in 1972 and 1977 he was promoted senior lecturer at the University of Nigeria Nsukka. He has written many articles in professional journals-and books. He married the former Miss Catherine Ikodiya Ogbukain 1972 and they have three children. He has visited Czechoslavakia, Poland and Italy. He is a christian and his hobby is reading.
