ATUWO, Hon. Pidiki Karibo Clement

Hon. Pidiki Karebo Clement Atuwo is one of the six children of Mr. Agorowei Asoni Atuwo, a fisherman at Ndoro village and Mrs. Tungbo Agorowei Atuwo, of Rivers State. He is a christian and was born at his home town, Ndoro on June 18, 1939. He got married to former Miss Lydia 0. A. Oredein on November 11, 1962, and has two children. In 1947, Hon. Pidiki Atuwo started school at the Salvation Army School, Lagos. He left in 1949 for the Baptist Day School, Zaria where he was until 1952. He gained admission into King's College, Lagos in 1952 and obtained his West African' School Certificate and the Higher School Certificate in 1956 and 1958 respective ly- He attended the London School of Economics and Political Science (Lond. University) between 1960 and 1964 and received his B.Sc (Econ) degree. He was at Manchester Polytechnic from 1964-65 from where he ob tained his ACIS. He has FSCA Certificate. He attended Slough College of Technology bet ween 1966 and 1967. He is also a member of several professional bodies. Hon. Pidiki Atuwo started working as a Senior Field Representative for Shell Nigeria Limited. He was made the District Represen tative (Bendel and Kwara in 1970) in Shell Nigeria Limited. He changed jobs and went over to the Nigerian Institute of Management. Through rapid promotions, he moved from Lecturer/Consultant to Senior Lecturer/Con sultant and to the Head of Management Con sultancy Division in 1977. He has written seven articles and has visited Britain, France, West Germany, Switzerland, Kenya, Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone. Hon. Pidiki Atuwo likes current affairs, reading, swimming and in-door games. He is a member of the National Party of Nigeria representing Sagbamo Constituency in Rivers State in the House of Representatives. He has since resigned his seat in the House.
