ADEGOKE, Hon. Rufus Olaleye

Honourable Rufus Olaleye Adegoke was born on July 29, 1936 in Ayete, Ibarapa, Oyo State. He is a christian and his father, Mr. Adegoke Shiyanbola, has twelve children while Madam Ibiyimika Adegoke, his mother, has seven children. Before attending a primary school, Honourable Adegoke trained as a weaver for seven years, and in 1952, he enrolled at Baptist Day School, Ayete/Tapa. Still in pursuit of education, he left for Igbo Ora Methodist Secondary Modern School in 1957. Honourable Adegoke was admitted into Baptist College in 1962 and obtained Grade two Teacher's Cer tificate in 1965. He also received a Diploma in Managers' course in 1978. He was a science teacher at Apapa Baptist School, Lagos between 1965 and 1973. He later joined the employment of Nidogas Company Limited as Stationery and pay roll clerk, and by the time he left the company to participate in politics in 1979, he was its Assistant Personnel Officer. He married former Miss Rachael Olubamiji in 1966 and they have five children. Honourable Adegoke who has visited Ghana loves reading and riding for sight seeing. He belongs to the Unity Party of Nigeria and represents Ibarapa Constituency, Oyo State in the House of Representatives
