AKINLOYE, Hon. Samuel Adeyemo

Born in Ijinoba-Ejigbo in Osun North-West of Oyo State on the 27th of October 1930, Honourable Samuel Adeyemo Akinloye is a member of the Unity Party of Nigeria and was elected into the House of Representatives from Ejigbo Constituency in Oyo State. His father, Mr. Jinadu Akinloye, a farmer by profession, is a centurian. He has twenty children altogether, five out of whom are by Honourable Akinloye's mother, Madam Tinuade Akinloye. He went to school at an early age of seven. By 31st December 1945, he had completed his primary school education at the Baptist Day School, Ejigbo and obtained a first school leav ing certificate on 1st January, 1946. Honourable Akinloye was admitted to the Baptist College, Ede in 1948 where he obtained a Teachers Grade III Certificate in 1950. He was admitted to the Baptist College, Iwo in January 1953 and received the Grade II Teachers Certificate in 1955. Honourable Akinloye took up a teaching ap pointment in 1956 and was promoted to the rank of a Headmaster, Class III on the 1st of April 1970. From September 1st 1970 to July 1st, 1972, Honourable Akinloye studied at the University of Ife, lle-lfe. He was awarded a Diploma in Education in July 1972 and promoted Head master Class II in September, 1974. On January 1st 1977, he was promoted Headmaster Class I. Altogether, Honourable Akinloye taught for 22 years. Honourable Akinloye is the Chairman of the Ejigbo Football Association. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the Divisional Teacher's Training College, Ejigbo, and also its Treasurer. Honourable Akinloye' is a member of the Board of Governors of A.U.D. Secondary Modern School, Ejigbo, the Treasurer of the Oyo State Farmer's Union, a member of the Ejigbo Fish Panel Association, Oke Moyo Development Society, Ijimoba Development Association and the Osun Consultatitve Coun cil. Honourable Akinloye is a christian and he got married to Mrs. Elizabeth Folashade Akinloye on 30th December, 1954. Altogether they have five children whose ages are: Olusegun 24, Akintunde 21, Abidemi 14. ••Outside the classroom, Honourable Akinloye finds time to work on his farm, read books, listen to music as well as organise football ac tivities. He has visited Ghana.
