LAOSEBIKAN, Hon. Samuel Gbadegesin

HonourableSamuel Gbadegesin Laosebikan, a christian by faith was born on August 26, 1930 atIwoin Oyo State. His early life was influenced by his parents, Mr Salami, a farmerat Iwo and Mrs. Folashade Laosebikan. His father had five children. The local environment at Iwo and the christian education that he received at Iwo have madea lasting impressionon him. Honourable Laosebikan attended Baptist Day School, Iwo from 1936-1944, and later went to Baptist College, Iwo from 1945-1949. After a good performance at Baptist College, Iwo he travelled to London where he enrolled at the North-Western Polytechnics, London from September 1957 to June 1959. He later gained admission to the University of Shelfield, England, where he obtained his B.A. Honours in history and Government in June 1962. Before travelling abroad, he had a Teachers Higher Elementary Certificate in December 1950.
