ADOYI, Hon. Samuel Ojogbane

Hon. Samuel Ojogbane Adoyi was born at Emonyoku Ankpa Local Government Area of Benue State in 1941. A christian by faith he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Idoko and Unoko Adoyi. His father, a farmer had twenty-one children while his mother, also a farmer, has five children. He attended Qua Iboe Mission School, Qkpo from 1951 to 1954, and the Qua Iboe Mission School, Ogugu from 1955 to 1956. Finally, he went to the Methodist St. Peters School, Oturkpo from 1957 to 1959. Four years later he went to the Government School of Hygiene, Kano from 1963 to 1965. He was with the Ministry of Health from 1965 to 1976 as a Public Health Inspector. He got married in February, 1973. Hon Adoyi and his wife, Grace Adoyi are blessed with five children. His hobbies include ludo playing and reading. Socially, Hon. Adoyi is the community leader and also the national chairman of his communi ty, the Edugwu-lyecommunity. A philanthropist by nature, Hon. Samuel Adoyi built a secondary school for his com munity so that the children of the area would not have to travel kilometres before they can be educated. He is a member of the National Party of Nigeria for Okpokwi West Constituency, Benue State, in the House of Representatives.
