DALYOP, Hon. Suleman Filibbus

Honourable Suleman Filibbus Dalyop was born in Kuru, Jos on May 5, 1936. His father, Mr. Dalyop E. Chuwang who was a teacher,' has seven children. His mother is Mrs. Hwondyeng Dalyop. He married the former Miss Regina C. Davou in November, 1971. Both Mr. and Mrs. Dalyop have four children. His wife, Mrs. Dalyop, is a teacher. A staunch christian, Honourable Dalyop at tended Junior Primary School, Forum: Gindiri Middle School and the Teachers College, Gin diri. He also attended the Institute of Ad ministration, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria between 1967 and 1970. He obtained a Teachers' Grade III Certificate m 1957, and also has a diploma in Local Government. He was a teacher at the Sudan United Mis sion, Forum, Jos. He also worked as a local ad ministrator. Between 1970 and 1974, he was a treasurer in.the Local Education Authority, Jos. He was also a revenue supervisor and local government secretary, from 1974 to 1975. He was appointed administrative secretary, Local Government Council, Jos from 1975 to 1976. Honourable Dalyop is a keen footballer. He has played for many organisations and clubs. He has also helped in organising many com munity projects/'-' He is a member of the Nigerian Peoples Party and represents Jos South Constituency, Plateau State in the House of Representatives. His hobbies are mountaineering, swimming, and watching football or wrestling.
