Honourable Umaru Sadiq Panshekara was born on the 27th of August, 1954, at Pan shekara Chalawa in Kano State to Sadiq Umar Sadiq a trader by profession. He entered the Elementary School, Pan shekara in 1963 and was there till 1969. He also went to the In-Serivce Teacher Training Cen tre, Gandun Albasa, Kano (1972), and the School for Arabic Studies Kano (SAA) 1974-77. He obtained his Primary School Certificate in 1969, Grade III Teachers Certificate 1972, and the In-Service Teacher Training Grade II Cer tificate in 1977. Honourable Panshekara had working ex perience as a Laboratory Attendant (Water works Treatment) from 1969 - 70, Assistant Headmaster, Arobade Primary School, Birnin- Kudu from 1972 - 1973, and the Headmaster, Daba Primary and Muras in D/Kudu Local Government (1977 —1979). A moslem by religion, he married Lami and Rashida and has a son. He has visited Niger Republic. His hobbies are football, fishing andfarming. Honourable Sadiq is- a member of the People's Redemption Party and represents Kumbutso Constituency of Kano State in the House of Representatives.
