Honourable Yakubu Balarabe Aliyu was born in 1939 at Bauchi in Bauchi State. He is one of the eight children of Mallam Balarabe Aliyu a farmer of Bauchi and A'ishatu Balarabe, a housewife. He had his elementary school at Nobi Junior Primary School from 1949 to 1953. He then went to a Senior Primary School from 1954 to 1956 and the Bauchi Teacher's College from 1957 to 1959. He was at the Nigerian Railway Traffic Train ing School, Zaria in 1967, was promoted Railway Station Master, Yankara in 1974. He married Mallama Maimunatu Yakubu in 1962 and he has thirteen children. Honourable Yakubu Balarabe Aliyu is in terested in reading, table tennis and swimming. He is moslem by faith. He represents the Bauchi Constituency, Bauchi State in the House of Representatives and is a member of ,the National Party of Nigeria.
