(NPN) was born on March 3, 1942 at Amachi in Abakaliki Local Government Area. He was educated at Akpa-Amachi Community School and St. Joseph's College Igbagu where he obtained the Teachers Grade II Certifi cate. He is interested in reading and lawn tennis and has "Truth, Honesty, Love and Service" as his philosophy of life. He was a former school head master and chairman of Abakaliki Local Government Council. He is married with eight children.
