Alhaji Baba Jidda was born on October 1, 1951 in his home town, Kirenowa in Borno State. He has the West African School Certificate (1969); Higher School Certificate, (1971) and a Bachelor of Science degree from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1975). In addition, he has a master's degree in Development Economic and a Post Graduate Diploma in Administration from the United Kingdom (1982). He is an elected member of the Constituent Assembly representing Monguno Federal Constituency. He is married and likes reading and discussing contemporary issues with people.
