Dr. Sambo Wali Junaidu was born in 1947 in his home town, Sokoto. He obtained the Teachers' Grade II Certificate in 1968, NCE in 1972, and Bachelor of Education in 1975 from Ahmadu Bello University, Kano Campus. In 1979, Dr. Junaidu obtained Master's Degree in Arabic Studies from the University of Khartoum, Sudan and in 1985, he got a Ph.D. from the University of London. He is an elected member of the Assembly representing Sokoto Central Federal Constituency. He is a lecturer at the Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto and is married with eight children. Dr. Junaidu loves poetry and gardening.
