Mr. Naaniap Thomas Kangnaan was born on January 21, 1943, in his home town Shendam, Plateau State. He started his primary school in 1952 and completed it in 1958. Between 1959 and 1964, he completed his secondary educa tion. He has a Diploma in Social Administration and Planning. In 1980, he obtained an M.Sc. (Econs) in Management of Social Services. In 1984, he was appointed Plateau State Commissioner for Finance before he relinquished the post in 1986. Mr. Kangnaan is an elected member of the Assembly representing Shendam East Federal Constituency. He likes playing football, squash and table tennis. He is married with nine children.
