Mr. Yauri Abdullahi Abubakar Madawaki represents Yauri Federal Constituency of Sokoto State. He was born on February 20, 1936 in Yelwa, Sokoto State. He had his elementary education in Yelwa from 1943 to 1946 before going to the Middle School, Sokoto where he stayed till 1951. Between 1951 and 1954, he attended Veterinary School, Jos and the School of Agriculture, Samaru. He also attended the Institute of Administration and the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1954/55 and 1969/1970, respectively. He retired as a Principal Secretary in the State Civil Service in 1984. He is now a traditional title holder and a farmer. Mr Madawaki is married with twenty seven children. He likes reading and hunting.
