Mr. Anthony Chukwuemeka Madueke was born on September 4, 1944 in Umuahia, Imo State. He hails from Oraifite in Anambra State. He represents Onitsha North-East Federal Constituency of Anambra State. Mr. Madueke obtained the First School Leaving Certificate and the West African School Certificate with Grade I in 1956 and 1961 respectively. With this very encouraging result at the school certificate level, Mr. Madueke gained admission to read Pharmacy at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He graduated in 1974. During his University days, Mr. Madueke was the Secretary-General of the Students' Union. He was also the Secretary-General of the Nigerian Association of General Practice Pharmacists in 1984 and an active member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria. He is married to Mrs. Helen Nonyelum Madueke and they have three children. Mr. Tony Madueke likes music, jogging and travelling.
