(NPP) was born on October 7, 1934 at Ezeogba Emekuku in Owerri Local Government Area. He had his education at Our Lady's School, Emekuku, St. Patrick's CoUege, Calabar, North-Western Polytechnic, London, England and Hull University. Mr. Mezu holds the M.C.I.T. Certifi cate (London). He was a senior manager of U.A.C. Nigeria Limited from 1964 to 1979. He was a trade and industrial consultant. Mr. Mezu is a strong beUever in mixed economy. He is married and has six children.
