So she left •bedside' nursing and moved into the field of politics to extend the caring profession to human social, political, economic and other needs as a carer. She is now trying to give a fuller caring treatment lo all the ills of the society as she joins the team that make the laws of the Land. Hon Ogonnaya Dorothy has made enormous contributions in the following areas • Treasurer to Edda Women League • Member of Safe Motherhood Ladies Association - a group committed to the improvement of women, childbirth and home care • Member, Edda Women Association, - working for empowerment of women and improvement of their ego and self image • Deaconess of the Grace of God Church- helping widows . like herself to be creative and productive • Involved in job creation in the community and the entire state • Sank boreholes in all six wards of her constituency • Sponsored Christian Crusades and other Christian Activities and Programmes for the propagation of the Gospel for empowerment, freedom and good life to the people • Lolo to Nwoha of Edda Her Mission in Politics is to ensure that women are properly represented and her community gets the basic amenities. She is a powerful mobilizer of women for the progress of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). Awards and Prizes • Distinguished Merit Award by Afikpo LG.A. Her Role Model is Mrs Margaret Ekpo of Calabar for her confidence, steadfastness and dedication. Her hobbies are farming and football.
