(NPP) was born in 1946 at Enugu and is a native of Enugu-Ukwu in Njikoka Local Government area. He represents Njikoka Central Constituency. He had his primary education at St. John's and Sacred Hearts Schools, Onitsha. He later studied at Abbot Secondary Grammar School, Diiala and went on to the Stella Maris College, Port Harcourt for Higher School studies. Mr. Obiekwe holds the National Scientific Diploma in Sales (Manchester) and the Diploma of the Institute of Commerce (London). He is an associate member of Personnel Management, Nigerian Society of Commerce and the Nigerian Institute of Administrative Management. Before going into politics, Mr. Obiekwe was the Chairman/Managing Director of OBICON (Nig.) Limited and Principal Consultant of Obiekwe and Partners Corporate Commercial Consultants. A man with many travels behind him, he has been to Great Britain, Western Germany, Switzerland and the U.S.A. where he is an honorary citizen of the State of Nebraska and Lt. Colonel of Baton Rouge. His pholosophy is "Man is never made to be a slave to man" and his hobby is table tennis. Hon. Obiekwe is married with three children.
