Born 23rd April 1956 in Okemesi-Ekiti, Chief Tolu Odebiyi’s working career spans several real estate development projects both in the United States and Nigeria. He was at a time responsible for the generation and brokerage of commercial and residential transactions in excess of $150million in the United States.Chief Tolu Odebiyi, an Iboro born political tactician is the Chief of Staff to the Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun and governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress for the 2019 election. His father, Odebiyi has a strong politically inclined background. His father, Jonathan Odebiyi, was the minority leader in the second Republic senate on the platform of the defunct Unity Party of Nigeria.[19] He previously served as permanent secretary in the office of chief of staff, Ogun state Governor's office in 2006[20] before being appointed chief of staff by the Governor Ibikunle Amosun administration.[21] His desire to run for senate in 2015 was suppressed by his political party. He initially decided to run for Governor of the state in the 2019 elections but stepped down.[22][23] He resigned his position as Chief of Staff in 2018 to run for senate representing Ogun West.In the 2019 Nigerian general elections, he contested the Ogun West senatorial seat under the All Progressive Congress party and won,
