This was particularly true in the Old East Central State which was made up of the present Anambra, Abia, Imo, Ebonyi and Enugu States. Professor G.A Odenigwe was among the few educated and enlightened top academics who helped to build up the wrecked political and administrative system of the Post War Igbo nation. He did this to the admiration of many of his Igbo compatriots. He stands as an Icon of integrity and respect who stood with his people in times of cold and warmth.
