(NPP) was born at Izzi in Abakaliki North Constituency. He attended St. John's School, Iboko and the Boys High School Abakaliki. After obtaining the West African School Certificate in 1965. He went to the Macgregor Teacher Training College, Afikpo from where he got the Teachers Gradee II Certificate. He is interested in fishing and is married with four children.
