OJUKWU, Simeon Mba

Nigerian Peoples Party, Senator for Umuahia, Imo State, born at Akanu Item in Bende Local Government area of Imo State on March 3, 1921. Primary Education: Item Central School; served in Royal West African Frontier Force as clerk from December 1942 to January 1947; studied privately and proceeded to the United Kingdom for further studies in April 1959; Graduated LL.B. (London), B.L.; returned to Nigeria in October 1963 and set up private legal practice at Aba; was Member of Parliament in the first Republic, 1965-66; elected Senator in Umuahia Senatorial District of Imo State 1979. Married with eight children.
