was bom on June 7, 1939 at Ehume' Obowo in Etiti Local Government Area; He received his education at Earnest Gems Grammar School, Akaokwa; St. Pius X College, Ogoni- Borno Teachers' College, Maiduguri and Institute of Management and Purchases, London where he obtained diploma certificates in management, storage and control of stocks; Mr Okonkwo served as a supervisor in Michelin (Nigeria) Limited, Port Harcourt/ He was the Chief executive director and managing Director of LINCO International (Nigeria) Ltd Umuahia; Photography and music constitute his hobbies; He is married and has three children.
