OLABODE, BURAIMOH OLANIYI

Honourable Buraimoh Olaniyi Olabode was born at Ogbomosho in Oyo State on 22nd April 1936. He is one of the twelve children of his father, Mr. Shittu Ayinde, and one of the five children of his mother Madam Asiawu Aina, both of whom are traders by profession. Young Buraimoh started his early education at Ipokia N. A. School, Egbado in 1950 where he sat for and obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1953. He was admitted to the Grade III Teachers College Ogbomosho in 1956. The following year, he obtained his Grade III Teachers Certificate. Spurred on by this performance he sought admission to the Ibadan Provincial Grade II Teachers College Oshogbo in 1960. At the end of 1961, he bagged the Grade II Teachers Cer tificate. Honourable Olabode then decided to read privately till June 1964 when he passed the final Examination of the Corporation of Secretaries. He continued with his teaching profession from this time till 1973, when he proceeaed to Concordia College Milwaukee Wisconsin, United States of America. He studied there for two years and in May 1975 he was awarded a Bachelors degree in the field of Accounts. He married Mrs. Sidikatu Olajoju Olabode, B3& on June 15th, 1964 and they both have five children whose ages range from nine to six teen. The honourable member of Parliament spends his leisure hours either farming or hun ting games. He has visited Ghana, Republic of Benin, Ivory Coast, Liberia and the United States of America. He is a member of the Unity Party of Nigeria, representing the Ogbomoso North Constituency in the House of Representatives.
