Dr. John Hembaor Ortyoyande, an elected member represents Gboko West Federal Constituency, Benue State. He was born on December, 31, 1948 in Mbatiereu, Benue State but hails from Gboko. He began his educational career in 1956 at Mkar Teachers' College, 1963-1967. He was at Advanced Teachers' College, Zaria, 1973-74 and Ahmadu Bello University, Kano Campus 1974-1978 for his B.A. (Education). He also obtained M.A. (Education) in 1981 from Calvin College, USA and Ph.D (Education Ad ministration) in 1984 from Western Michigan University, USA. Dr. Ortyoyande is a senior lecturer, College of Education, Katsina-Ala, Benue State. He is married with four children. His hobbies are basketball, jogging and volley ball
