Expert in governance, peace and conflict studies, who had done consultancy work for Humanitarian Dialogue in Geneva, ECOWAS and U.S. Agency for International Development. Prof Oshita is a distinguished Ambassador for Peace of the UN POLAC Peace Programme. He is a trainer and facilitator, and has published Locally and Internationally. As Director-General of Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR), he effectively involved the institute in programming around violence-free 2015 general elections and related activities before, during and after the elections in Nigeria. He also worked with the National Peace Committee for 2015 general elections. On August 8, 2018, Prof Oshita resigned as Director General of the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR) as his tenure as the Director General of Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCPR) came to an end.
