Mr Abubakar Garba Rufai, an elected member represents Gwarzo Federal Consti tuency, Kano State. He was born on November 11, 1945 in Gwarzo, Kano State. He had his primary education from 1955 to 1961 and secondary education between 1962 and 1966. He attended Kaduna Polytechnic, and the Institute of Administration, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Mr. Rufai voluntarily retired from the civil ser vice in 1986 after serving at both Federal and State levels for 20 years. He now works with the Universal Textile Industry Ltd. Kano. He is married with nine children. His hobbies are horse riding, swimming and indoor activities.
