Babatunde Sofela teaches Latin American history in the department of History, University of Ibadan. He has published a number of monographs, chapters in books and articles in learned journals. He is a member of the society of latin american studies; fellow and treasurer of the historical society of Nigeria, and current head of the department of History at the university of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria.
