Born in 1963, Mrs Swanta had her early education at L.E.A primary school, Bachit, Plateau state from 1972-1975, Government Girls Secondary School Shendam, in 1980 and the School of Preliminary Studies (SPS),Keffi from 1980-1982 for her A’levels. She proceeded to the University of Jos, Plateau State where she bagged a B.A. degree in Theatre Arts in 1986.
Mrs. Swanta started her University Administration career in 1987 at the University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue state and later joined the University of Abuja in 1989 as an Administrative Officer where she rose through the ranks.
She has served in many units of the University including the vice-Chancellor’s office; as a Faculty Officer, Faculty of Science and Agriculture; Establishment Officer in charge of junior staff; Administrative Secretary, Centre for Gender Security Studies and Youth Advancement; Secretary, Postgraduate School, among others.
Mrs. Swanta is a member of 3 professional bodies, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and the Association of University Public Administrators (ANUPA). She has also attended many National and International conferences.Mrs. Swanta who hails from Kaura Local Government of Kaduna State is married with 3 children
