born in Itas in 1946; Education: Itas Elementary School, 1955-59 and Azare Boarding Senior Primary School 1960-63; Local Govt. Course, 1964-65; Staff Training Centre, 1975; Career: appointed a District Scribe for Itas 1964; Scribe, Kategun L.A. Central Admin. 1965; Chief Scribe 1976. In 1978 Mallam Buba was elected into the Katagun Local Government Coun cil and at the same time appointed Councillor for Agriculture andNatural Resources. In February, 1979 he ret signed his appointment to politics and was elected a member of the Bauchi State House of Assembly as an NPN %candidate for Itas.
