MHA, OFR PROVINCIAL COMMISSIONER, BORNO Alhaji Muhammad uMagajin Garin Kayaure was born in Kaaure in 1918. He started his educational pursuitin 1928 when hejoinedKa^aureJunior Primary School and Kano Middle Schoolin1935which he leftin 1940. AlhajiMuhammadu started his working career with KanoNA Central Office asScribefrom 1940 to 1942 and transferredto KanoNATreasuryfrom 1942 to 1944. Hewas Secondedto theAuditDepartmentfrom 1944 to 1945. Hewas turbanedasWakilinAyyuka Ka^aureNA in 1946 to 1949 andwaspromotedandturbanedasMagajin Garin Ka^aure in 1949. Alhaji Muhammadufelt he was popular enough to contest election to represent hipeopleso he declared his candidature and was lucky to win the seat of the Northern House of Assembly in 1961 under the platform of NPC the Northern Party of the time. He was appointed Provincial Commissioner, Borno Province based on conviction by the Sardauna administration that Alhaji Muhammadu was quite competent to steer Borno out of the troubled water. It found itself in following administrative and financial irregularities. After the coup and the creation of States in 1967, Alhaji Muhammadu Magajin Garin Ka^aure was appointed Civil Commissioner in the newly created Kano State a duty he performed with diligence and correct sense of responsibility amodeljrom the first republic. The elder statesman who now busies himself with overseeing the traditional office ofhis title of Magajin Grihas also served the country as member of different Boards and parastatls
