IIlMHA, CON PARLIAMEMTARY SECRETARY, PROVINCIAL AlhajiMusa was bom 1929 at Agwara in Borgu division. After a 4 years primary education at a Bussa Primary School, he attend the Illorin Middk Schoolfrom 1941 to 1946 during which time he also attended a Home Arabic School, AlhajiMusa was in the Veterinary Colkge, Vom, where he qualified as a veterinary Assistant. He worked as Borgu Native Authority Veterinary Assistant from 1946 to 192 during which period he also attended a special course at the West African Institute ^Trypanosomiasis Research (WATTR) now (NTTR) at Kaduna. He was promotedHead Veterinary Assistant in 1952, the post he held until 1955 when he attended Devekpment Secretaries course at the Institute of Administration, Zaria. Ayear ktter, he attend a British Council Summer course in Kano. Alhafi Musa was acting Native Authority Treasurer, Borgu NA, from 1956 to 1957 and was later appointed Development Secretarya post he held until 1961. During this time ako, Alhaji Musa attended a dipkma course in Public and Social Administration at South Devon Technical Colkge Torguayfrom 1959 to 1960. He obtained a first class dipkma from the colkge in 1960. In 1961 he retumedto the Institute of Administration, Zaria, for the Staff Officers course. He was then appointed Local Government Secretary until 1962, when he was again appointed Councillor forLocal Government and Devekpment. AlhajiMusa was appointed Distria Head of Agwara in 1962. He entered politics before this time and he was ekaed into the then Northern House of Assembly from 1957 to 1961, representing Borgu Constituency. He was re-elected in 1961 for the 1961-1966 term. In May, 1963, he was appointed Parliamentary Secretary. In December of the sameyear, he was appointed' acting Provinciai'CommissionerforSardauna Province. He was also acting Provincial Commissionerfor Nigerprovince in May, 1965 to July of the sameyear, and he held the same appointment in Bauchi province to December, 1965. After the military take over on 15A January, 1966 and with the abrogation of all political appointments by the military authorities, AlhajiMusa returned home and was re appointed Distria Head of Agwara in June, 1966. He later became member of the Borgu NA Council, Chairman of Borgu Education Committee, Chairman of Agwara Distria Council and Member of BorguNA Finance Committee. Alhaji Musa then attended several kcal government courses at the Institute of Administration, Ahmadu Belk University, Zaria and the University of Ibadan. He was appointed the Emir of Borgu of the age of 39years in February, 1968 in succession to his late father, Alhaji Muhammadu Sani who died on December 26, 1967. Until his new appointment, Alhaji Musa who was the eldest son of the late Emir of Borgu Alhaji Muhammadu Sani, was the Civil Commissioner for Establishment Matters in the 1966-1975 Military Government of Kwara State. He died as the Emir of Borgu on the 3 of February 2000.
