He was ekaedSenator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (Plateau CentralConstitueny) Abuja, 1999 to date underthe Peopks DemocraticParty (PDP) andappointedDeputySenate President, 2000 to date. Alhaji Nasiru Mantu is ako the General Patron of the Nigerian Youth Organisation; Felkw, Nigerian Institute of Journalism andGeneralPatron Bida Hall, University of Ugos.
