MELE, Hon. Bukar

Honourable Bukar Mele was born in 1954 at Nguru in Borno State. He is one of the three children of Mr. Mele A Abakura, a farmer, and Madam Aisa Mohammadu. Honourable Bukar Mele had his primary education at the Ngilewa Primary School, Ugurufrom 1962 to 1968. He then went to the Government Secondary School, Ganye from 1969 to 1973 for his secon dary education and obtained the West African School Certificate. After the secondary school. Honourable Bukar Mele went to the North-East College of Arts and Science, Maiduguri from 1973 to 1975. He later gained admission to the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he read for and received the B.A. (combined) Honours degree in History and Political Science in June 1978. Honourable Bukar Mele is married. Among his many hobbies are reading, debating, lawn tennis and travelling. He is a member of the Great Nigeria Peoples Party and represents Matchina Constituency, Borno State, in the House of Representatives.
