Hon. Fayemi, a member of the Unity Party of Nigeria, represents Badagry Federal Consti tuency, Lagos State in the House of Represen tatives. He was born in lle-lfe on May 24, 1938. His father, Mr. Samuel Fayemi is a farmer, while his mother, Mrs. Marian Fayemiis a trader. He attended three different primary schools, namely, St. Peter's School, lle-lfe, (1948-1951), Central School, lle-lfe (1952-1953), and the Roman Catholic School, Modakeke, lle-lfe where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1954. He proceeded to St. Leo's College, Abeokuta in 1957 and obtained his Teachers' Grade two Certificate in 1960. He then went into the teaching profession, but switched over to commercial banking in 1964 and later obtained an Associate of the Institute of Bankers Certificate in 1967. He also holds a certificate in secretarship from the Chartered Institute of Secretaries. In 1974, he became a personnel manager and from 1976 until the time of his election into the House of Representatives, he was auditing and inspecting commercial banks. He married former Miss Remi Ogunnubi in 1965 and they have four children. Hon. Fayemi is a christian. He has visited the United Kingdom and Ghana. His hobbies are driving and reading.
