OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS:

– The first and only serving officer to be commended for Outstanding Performance by Two Serving Presidents Of The Federal Republic Of Nigeria (President Obasanjo 2005 & President Goodluck Jonathan 2014).

– Made the largest ever single seizure of smuggled textile in the over 120 Years in the history of Nigeria Customs Service in 2005 as Customs Area Comptroller of Kano/Jigawa States Command. This resulted in official Commendation of the then President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. The seizure has duty paid value of over Four Billion Naira (N4,000,000,000.00).

– Re-activated Kano/Jigawa State Command to meet and exceed revenue target in 2005 and 2006 by 100%. It should be noted that Kano/Jigawa Command was not able to meet its annual target for over 6 previous years and still failed to meet its target since 2006 when he left the Command.

– In 2007, he was posted to Tin-Can Island II (PTML) Command as Custom Area Controller. He modelled the port to achieve the government desire of 48 hours clearing Period as at then and improved the revenue collection of the command by over Two Thousand percent a month (200m – 2.4b monthly), consequently reduced the cost of doing business.

– In 2009, he was appointed Customs Area Comptroller Tin-Can Island I Port. Within five (5) months, he was able to raise the monthly revenue from 3.7 Billion Naira to over 11 Billion Naira monthly.

– He was the Assistant Comptroller General who promoted the establishment of Computer Forensic Unit of the Nigeria Customs Service to tackle the challenges of Automation and Modernisation and Online Frauds to the System.

– He modernised and automated the Human Resource Management Process that comprehensively remove subjective, nepotism and favouritism in promotion processes of the Nigeria Customs Service and increase credibility and acceptance.
