John was a rising star in Accounting Profession where he chartered after a few years of qualification and practice. He was known as a disciplined and meticulous brilliant accountant who maintained the strict disciplined of the profession. His brilliant rise in the post brought him a lot of accolades and prizes. Education • University of Lagos. B.Sc Accountancy 1986 • M Sc Finance University of Lagos 1989 with multiple National Prizes including National School Prize for the best accounting graduating student in the final exams Work Experience Unilever Nigerian Pic until 1989- exposed to quality management process and training. Investment Banking and Trust Company Ltd 1989 1999 worked in many areas eg credit and marketing, international trade finance and settlement system, correspondence banking, foreign exchange trading, treasury management and internal control. Chief Inspector of IBTC, - opportunity to design and implement the operations of policy manuals used in five departments of the bank Responsible for managing IBTC'S Relationships with regulatory and supervisory authorities as well as the Federal Inland Revenue Service ( FIRS) and the external auditors Head of Foreign Operations up till 2000 Joined Equitorial Trust Bank ( ETB) as Deputy General Manager (Financial Services) General Manager responsible for Relationship Management Executive Director, Relationship Management 2002- seconded to Devcom Bank Ltd in October 2003 to lead its turnaround programme Joined ACB International Bank in May 2004 where his well-known reputation wasa turn-around manager as well as his dynamism and vibrancy have served to restore both customer and staff confidence Courses attended • Has attended over ten (10) management development courses both locally and overseas including those organized by Euro Money, D.C. Garner & Co and USAIDMAS. • Involved in Manpower training for the banking industry. • Delivered many papers at workshops and conferences, training seminars on subjects as customer service, marketing of financial services, business development, liability generation, and effective communications. He was happily married and had children before his untimely death in September 2005. May his brilliant soul rest in peace.
